The Monarch Center of Saco provides residential care in a home-like setting that features warm and comfortable surroundings and a calm environment. Every room in the 42-unit complex has a window overlooking our gardens, and the center embraces the Alzheimer’s Association "Best Friends" approach to care.

Built in 1999, the Monarch Center specially utilizes architecture and interior design elements to minimize the confusion and agitation that may accompany Alzheimer’s disease – increased lighting, signage utilizing pictures as well as words, and personal mementos displayed outside each person’s suite help residents get around with ease and confidence.
